Abstract

This paper seeks to analyze the major evolutionary trends and specific causes of the relationship between Taiwan and China since 1996, and to examine the extent to which the aforementioned economic policies and international environment have contributed to this trajectory. Meanwhile, this paper employs a comprehensive approach, including incorporating a literature review, hypothesis formulation, methodological design, and research analysis—to provide a detailed demonstration of how economic policies and the internal and external international environment influence cross-strait relations. Furthermore, it gives careful consideration to the impact of political regime changes in Taiwan on this dynamic.
