Abstract

Upon receiving the Chris and Amy Doran Climate Fellowship, I designed it to intersect artistic equity with environmental activism. By establishing a dedicated pipeline for accessible and eco-friendly art materials, the fellowship ensures that every student has the tools to create, with ecological morality regardless of financial standing. The fellowship operates in two distinct phases. First, it emphasizes and educates students about the presence of sustainable, non-toxic, and reclaimed media, promoting a "green" approach to the creative process. This focus on accessibility not only democratizes the arts on campus but also reinforces the university’s commitment to environmental stewardship. To allow the artistic world to have a voice, I created an exhibition regarding my personal struggles with today’s and yesterday's society, specifically coupling it with the climate crisis.
