Abstract
First wave of German data used in chapter 5 of Fetzer and Soper, Muslims and the State in Britain, France, and Germany (Cambridge University Press, 2005). Demographic variables plus religious identification of respondent and her/his views on Church taxes ("Kirchensteuer") and Muslim religion classes in state schools. Conducted by Roper ASW's affiliate in Germany (INRA Deutschland). Selection by quotas on major demographics and random-digit dialing. Telephone survey. Fieldwork dates 9-12 July of 2001.
