Description
While finishing off the Uganda International Program with a safari in Ngorongoro Crater, I was able to see different Maasai children running out of the tall grasses in order to get a look at the "crazy white people" as well as beg for money. Rather than giving these children money, I handed out candy and saw their faces light up with pure joy and contentment. It was wonderful to see how something as simple as a lollipop could make someone so happy. Seeing them live with very little was heartbreaking but also taught me how to appreciate all of the blessings in my life.
