Description
The salt flats are a very remote, unknown landscape in the middle of the Argentine countryside. We visited for the weekend and were taken on a trip to this wet stretch of land that appeared to be as long as a desert. There was a thin layer of water over the entire surface, about 2-4 inches deep. Flamingos were grazing through the salt water and the sun was beaming down and burning our skin until it finally began to set. For probably only ten minutes we were able to capture the incredible horizon like it is in the picture. Our silhouettes were black against the orange ball of sunlight. Michael Galvis is the person in the picture.
The most significant thing about it is that none of us had seen anything more phenomenally beautiful and just breathtaking. It was even more incredible that we were able to put ourselves into the landscape and be apart of the vision.
