The Empower and Equip Initiative, funded by a Lilly Endowment, INC grant to Pepperdine University is a national initiative jointly managed by Pepperdine and ACU’s Siburt Institute for Church Ministry, which supports renewal and revitalization among rural and small town Churches of Christ. This panel discussion brings together representatives from various regional partners and national partners to explore early work from the first year of the five year project. Panelists will present some of the foundational learning that framed the grant proposal. Additionally, regional representatives will report about their particular initiatives and national representatives will offer an initial report about the national research project and the developing online library for rural and small-town churches.
