Abstract

Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues to have consequences on national security around the world, especially in Europe, which was overdependent on Russian oil and gas prior to the invasion. The invasion of Ukraine also rises questions on the effectiveness of international organizations and their ability to control the flow of resources between rogue states and rising powers. The lessons learned from the broader consequences of Russia's invasion of Ukraine can be applied to domestic energy policy in the United States to strengthen national security.
