About This Journal
Global Tides is Pepperdine University's interdisciplinary undergraduate research journal featuring work from the humanities, religion & philosophy, social science, and international studies. This publication is intended to showcase the finest writings of Pepperdine undergraduates and further the academic standing of the university by encouraging students to produce work of the highest quality. Global Tides is a student-led, peer-reviewed journal in which papers are subjected to a rigorous review process to determine their suitability for publication.
Global Tides publishes once annually, featuring three to five scholarly essays from each division, and a book review section. Submissions from students of all majors are welcomed, though all research paper submissions must fall within the scope of humanities, religion, social science, or international studies.
