Abstract

Through my art I seek to explore the identities and portraits of people, specifically those struck by pain or cultural hardships that choose to fight on, to keep living. This subject matter has brought me to utilize a mixed-media approach to tell these portraits that focus on women. In this body of work, I seek to juxtapose the beauty against the ashes, the pain against the joy, the routine against the unexpected.
