Frank Pack Distinguished Christian Scholar Lecture Program

Beginning as the Thomas F. Staley Lecture in 1981, the Frank Pack Lecture continues the annual tradition of bringing to campus a distinguished Christian scholar from outside the Churches of Christ. The lecture is named in honor of Frank Pack (1916-1998), who served for sixty years as a preacher in Churches of Christ and for more than forty-five years as a distinguished professor of biblical studies in three colleges related to Churches of Christ, including Pepperdine University.

The featured speaker for the eighteenth annual Frank Pack Distinguished Christian Scholar Lecture is Dr. Daniel Lee Hill, Assistant Professor of Christian Theology at Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Dr. Hill is the author of Gathered on the Road to Zion and is the recipient of the 2022 Emerging Public Intellectual Award. Dr. Hill will give the lecture on March 15, 2023 at 7 PM in Stauffer Chapel at Pepperdine University.
